Xanthopastis regnatrix, commonly known as the Spanish moth or convict caterpillar, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species is found in the United States. Its main range extends from North Carolina to Texas, and south to Florida. Individual stray specimens have been recorded as far north as coastal New York, and as far north inland as Kentucky.
