About Xanthonia decemnotata (Say, 1824)

Xanthonia decemnotata, commonly known as the ten-spotted leaf beetle, is a species of leaf beetle. This species is native to eastern North America. In Canada, its range extends from Saskatchewan to Nova Scotia, and in the United States it reaches as far south as New England; it becomes rare when found further south than this area. Adult Xanthonia decemnotata measure between 3 and 3.5 mm (0.12 to 0.14 inches) in length. Their elytra are reddish brown and marked with black spots.
