Wolffiella gladiata, commonly known as the Florida mudmidget, is an aquatic flowering plant belonging to the family Araceae. It is counted among the smallest known flowering plants, reaching only 3 to 9 millimeters in length. This species grows in calm, quiet waters. Its native range spans the Atlantic and Gulf Coast states of the United States from Texas to New Jersey, as well as the states of the Ohio River Valley. Additional specimens of the plant have also been collected from Massachusetts, Washington, and the Distrito Federal de México.
