Willdenowia incurvata (Thunb.) H.P.Linder is a species of flowering plant in the genus Willdenowia. This species is endemic to the Fynbos region of South Africa's Northern Cape and Western Cape provinces. It has common names: it is called sonqua sunreed in English, and sonkwasriet in Afrikaans.
This plant is distributed across an area stretching from False Bay in the Western Cape north to Springbok in Namaqualand, Northern Cape. It grows as the dominant species in sandveld habitat between Melkbos and the Olifants River, occurring at elevations from sea level up to 1,200 metres.
In terms of ecology, Willdenowia incurvata is a reseeding species. It reproduces via reseeding after fire events.
