Viola tripartita Elliott is a species of violet with the common name threepart violet. It is native to Eastern North America, where it is primarily found in the Southern Appalachian Mountains. Its preferred habitat is rich, mesic forests growing over calcareous rocks. It is a small perennial herb that produces yellow flowers during the spring. It can be distinguished from other caulescent yellow violets native to this region by its leaves, which are wider than long and have a cuneate base.
