About Vicia tetrasperma (L.) Schreb.

Vicia tetrasperma (L.) Schreb. is an annual plant that grows up to 60 cm (24 in) tall. Its leaflets measure 10 to 20 mm (0.39 to 0.79 in) long, arranged in four to six pairs per leaf, with a simple tendril at the tip of the leaf. It produces pale blue flowers held in racemes of one or two flowers, each flower around 4 mm (0.16 in) long. Its seed pod is 12 to 15 mm (0.47 to 0.59 in) long, dehiscent, and contains exactly four seeds. This vetch is native to Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and occurs as an introduced species on other continents, where it may be invasive. It grows in local, grassy habitat areas.
