Viburnum japonicum, commonly called the Japanese viburnum, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Viburnaceae. It is native to Zhejiang (China), Gageodo Island (South Korea), the Ryukyu Islands, and Japan. This plant grows as a rounded evergreen shrub that reaches 1.8 to 2.4 m (6 to 8 ft) in height. It has glossy leaves and strongly scented flowers, and it is hardy to USDA zone 7.
