About Veronica incana subsp. incana

Veronica incana, commonly known as silver speedwell, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Plantaginaceae. It is native to parts of Eastern Europe and Russia, the whole of Siberia, Mongolia, and northern China, and has been introduced to Czechoslovakia. A number of taxonomic authorities classify this plant as a subspecies of spiked speedwell Veronica spicata, under the name Veronica spicata subsp. incana. It acts as a parent of two hybrids: Veronica × czemalensis, hybridized with V. porphyriana, and Veronica × grisea, hybridized with V. longifolia. This entry specifically describes Veronica incana subsp. incana.
