About Veronica formosa R.Br.

Veronica formosa R.Br. is a flowering plant species in the family Plantaginaceae, and it is endemic to Tasmania, Australia. It is a subshrub that grows between 0.5 and 2 metres tall. Its leaves are elliptic to lanceolate, measuring 7 to 15 mm in length. The flowers are pale lilac or violet blue, and they grow in racemes, blooming from late spring to early summer. For cultivation, these plants can be grown in shade, but a full sun position is preferred to encourage maximum flowering. They are frost tolerant and hardy to -7 °C. To maintain a compact growth shape, old stems should be cut back after flowering finishes.
