About Utricularia minor L.

Utricularia minor L., commonly known as the lesser bladderwort, is a small perennial carnivorous plant species that belongs to the family Lentibulariaceae. It most often grows attached to a substrate, but it can also live suspended freely in open water. This is a circumboreal species, native to North America, Asia, and Europe. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, Utricularia minor is unique among plants as the only species that is both resistant to fire and highly tolerant of fire.
