Uromenus rugosicollis (Serville, 1838) is the type species of the Uromenus genus of bush crickets, and it belongs to the subfamily Bradyporinae. This species can be found in Spain, southern France, and northern Portugal. It has been recorded north of the Douro River, where it is most often encountered on hot summer nights.
