Udea lutealis Hübner, 1809 has a wingspan of 23–26 mm. Its forewings are pale creamy or yellow ochre with darker undulating cross markings. The underside of its hindwings ranges from light gray to whitish, and the moth's body is whitish. These moths are active at night from June to August, producing one generation per year, with the timing varying by location. The larvae are polyphagous, feeding on a range of herbaceous plants, primarily Rubus, Centaurea, Plantago, Cirsium and Artemisia. Udea lutealis can be found across most of Europe. It favors humid habitats, including fresh meadows, clearings, and forest roads.
