Body Ridges
Description: Tylototriton uyenoi has a prominent ridge running along its back. Two rows of raised bumps run along either side of this back ridge, and the species' head has parallel ridges.
Coloration
All of these ridges and bumps are orange, while the rest of the animal's body is brownish black. Juveniles of this species tend to be more brightly colored than adults.
Adult Length
On average, adult individuals reach a total length between 75 and 79 mm.
Geographic Range
Distribution: This species is found only in Chiang Mai Province, Thailand, where it has been recorded in two protected areas: Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary and Doi Inthanon National Park.
Diet
Ecology: Tylototriton uyenoi is a generalist predator that feeds on a wide range of prey items including various arthropods and snails.
Breeding Season
The species' known breeding season falls between May and July.
