About Turdus amaurochalinus Cabanis, 1850

The creamy-bellied thrush, with the scientific name Turdus amaurochalinus, is a bird species that belongs to the Turdidae family. It lives in a wide variety of wooded habitats across much of central and eastern South America. It is generally a common species, and can even thrive in habitats modified by humans, such as gardens and parks. Its plumage ranges in overall color from greyish to brownish, and its bill ranges from dusky to yellow. However, adult creamy-bellied thrushes always have distinct blackish lores. This feature sets the species apart from other similar thrushes that live within its range, including the pale-breasted thrush.
