About Trixis inula Crantz

Trixis inula, commonly called tropical threefold, is a plant species native to Texas, Mexico, Central America, northern South America, and the West Indies. It grows in open, sandy locations including roadsides, thorn scrub, and thickets. Trixis inula is a much-branched shrub that can reach up to 300 cm (10 feet) in height. It produces lanceolate to elliptic leaves that grow up to 17 cm (7 inches) long. Its yellow flower heads are arranged in paniculate arrays.
