About Triphosa sabaudiata (Duponchel, 1830)

Triphosa sabaudiata is a moth species belonging to the family Geometridae. Its known distribution covers Albania, Andorra, Austria, Bulgaria, France (including the island of Corsica), Germany, Greece, Italy, Liechtenstein, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, all states of the former Yugoslavia in central Europe, and additional parts of Asia. This species has a silvery gray coloration. It can be found at elevations up to 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) above sea level, and mostly occurs in caves. The wingspan of Triphosa sabaudiata ranges from 4 to 4.5 centimetres (1.6–1.8 in). This entry was originally dated 29 August 2013.
