Trillium underwoodii Small, commonly known as longbract wakerobin, is a plant species that occurs exclusively in the southeastern United States, specifically in Alabama, Georgia, and northern Florida. This species is a perennial herb that grows to a maximum height of 20 centimeters, and spreads via underground rhizomes. Its leaves have a multi-toned appearance, with splotches of light, medium, and dark shades. The flowers of Trillium underwoodii produce a foul odor; they are most often deep maroon or purplish red, but occasionally appear yellow.
