Trifolium oliganthum Steud. is an upright-growing annual herb. Its leaves consist of leaflets of various shapes, each 1 to 2 centimeters long, paired with toothed stipules. The plant produces flower heads that are no more than 1 centimeter wide. A fused involucre of bracts is located at the base of each inflorescence. The calyx formed by sepals on each individual flower may have a forked tip, and the flower's corolla measures under one centimeter in length.
