Trichostema setaceum Houtt., commonly called narrowleaf bluecurls, is an annual plant that grows up to 50 cm (20 inches) tall. It produces striking purple-blue flowers from September to October. Its stamens extend well beyond the petals, reaching up to 20 mm (0.79 inches) in length. The leaves of T. setaceum have entire margins.
