The fungal species Tricholomopsis decora has a cap that ranges from 2 to 5.5 centimetres (3⁄4 to 2+1⁄4 inches) wide. Its gills are mostly adnate. The stem reaches a maximum length of 5.5 cm and a maximum thickness of 9 millimetres (1⁄4 inch). This fungus has yellow flesh and produces a white spore print. It is classified as nonpoisonous. In terms of distribution and habitat, it grows in conifer forests, and can be found in North America (where it appears until October) and in Britain.
