Erect Filament Characteristics
Erect filaments reach up to 1.5 mm in height, and can be unbranched, or branched sparsely to densely. These erect filaments are composed of cylindrical cells 10–20 micrometers wide (rarely up to 30 micrometers wide), with cell lengths 1.5 to 4 times their width.
Prostrate Filament Characteristics
Prostrate filaments have swollen cells that reach up to 18 micrometers wide.
Gametangia Morphology
This species produces gametangia that are globular, ovoid, or flask-shaped, and measure 18–40 micrometers wide.
Zoosporangia Morphology
Its zoosporangia are 25–30 micrometers wide and 27–40 micrometers long.
