Tragus australianus, with the scientific name Tragus australianus S.T.Blake, is a summer ephemeral grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. It was first formally described by Stanley Thatcher Blake in 1941. In Australia, it is commonly known by three common names: Burr grass, Small burrgrass, and Tickgrass. This grass flowers in response to rain. It is native to mainland Australia, and grows in arid and semi-arid areas there.
