Geographic Range

This species is native to southern Africa, where its distribution covers south-eastern Angola, northern Namibia, western Zambia, northern and eastern Botswana, Zimbabwe, north-eastern South Africa, and western Mozambique.

Habitat and Habit

Trachylepis damarana is a very common terrestrial skink that lives in open rocky savanna habitats.

Morphology and Size

It has fully developed limbs, and can grow up to 68 mm (2.7 inches) in snout–vent length.
