Toxicodendron sylvestre, commonly called the mountain lacquer tree or wood lacquer tree, is a flowering plant species belonging to the sumac family Anacardiaceae. It is native to southern China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, and the Ryukyu Islands. This deciduous tree grows to 10 m (33 ft) tall. It is most often found growing in forests at elevations between 100 and 800 m (300 and 2,600 ft), and may occasionally be found growing at higher elevations.
