About Tillandsia flabellata Baker

Tillandsia flabellata Baker is a species of flowering plant in the bromeliad family, Bromeliaceae. It is native to southern Mexico (the states of Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Chiapas) and Central America (the countries of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua). Two varieties of this species are currently recognized. The autonymic variety, Tillandsia flabellata var. flabellata, is distributed across Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The second variety, Tillandsia flabellata var. viridifolia M.B.Foster, is found in Veracruz.
