This species has a wide distribution across Central America, the West Indies, southern Mexico (including Chiapas, Tabasco, Veracruz, and the Yucatán Peninsula), and northern and eastern South America (including Venezuela, Colombia, the Guianas, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Alagoas, Amapá, and Pernambuco).
