Thysanocarpus laciniatus Nutt. is a species of flowering plant in the mustard family Brassicaceae, commonly known as mountain fringepod. It is native to California and Baja California, where it grows in many types of habitat. The species is common across most of its native range. It is an annual herb that grows a slender stem, which can be either branching or unbranched, and reaches 10 to 60 centimeters in height. The plant has a somewhat waxy texture and is generally hairless. Its leaves are linear to lance-shaped, with either smooth or toothed edges, and grow up to 4 centimeters long. Its inflorescence is a raceme made up of small whitish or purplish flowers. Its fruit is a flattened, disclike capsule that is rounded or oval, with a thin wing running around its outer edge.
