About Thymophylla tenuiloba (DC.) Small

Thymophylla tenuiloba (DC.) Small has several common names: bristleleaf pricklyleaf, Dahlberg daisy, small bristleleaf pricklyleaf, golden fleece, and shooting star. It is a bushy, multi-branched flowering annual plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. It is native to south central Texas (United States) and northern Mexico. It has a trailing growth habit and produces a large number of small yellow flowers. This species tolerates heat and dry conditions well. Outside of its native range, it is sometimes sold as a summertime annual garden plant. It was previously classified as Hymenatherum tenuilobum under the De Candolle system. This species has also become naturalized in Queensland, Australia.
