Thiania bhamoensis Thorell, 1887 has an iridescent green-blue body. Females of the species have a greener overall base color, while males are bluer. When viewed from the front, female individuals have a black face, and male individuals have a white face. Nicylla sundevalli, another species that occurs in Burma, is reported to be very closely related to Thiania bhamoensis. This species is distributed across the range from Burma to Sumatra.
