About Theretra rhesus Boisduval

Theretra rhesus Boisduval is similar to Theretra boisduvali and Theretra insularis insularis, but it has much heavier markings, and the dorsal lines on its thorax and abdomen are more distinct. On the upperside of its forewing, there are six oblique postmedian lines. The first of these lines reaches the inner margin almost at the wing base. The second and third lines lie close together, and the space between the third and fourth lines is wider than it is in Theretra boisduvali. The fourth line is the strongest of the six lines.
