About Thereianthus spicatus (L.) G.J.Lewis

Thereianthus spicatus is a perennial flowering geophyte that belongs to the genus Thereianthus and is a member of the fynbos vegetation type. This species is endemic to the Western Cape province of South Africa. Its distribution ranges from Piketberg and the Groot Winterhoek Mountains to the Palmiet River Estuary and the Riviersonderend Mountains. It can grow at elevations from sea level up to 1000 meters.
