About Thelionema caespitosum (R.Br.) R.J.F.Hend.

Thelionema caespitosum, commonly known as the tufted lily or tufted blue-lily, is a perennial herb species that is native to Australia. It produces lily-like flowers that can be blue, light blue, pale yellow, or white, and these flowers have yellow stamens. This species can be found growing in the Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. It was first formally described by botanist Robert Brown in 1810 in his work Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae, where it was originally named Stypandra caespitosa. The species was moved into the separate genus Thelionema in 1985.
