About Thelephora anthocephala (Bull.) Fr.
Thelephora anthocephala (Bull.) Fr. is a species of coral fungus that belongs to the family Thelephoraceae. It was first formally described as a new species to science in 1786 by French botanist Jean Baptiste François Pierre Bulliard, who originally classified it in the genus Clavaria. Elias Fries later moved the species to the genus Thelephora, publishing this transfer in his 1838 work titled Epicrisis Systematis Mycologici.
