About Tetraneuris linearifolia (Hook.) Greene
Tetraneuris linearifolia (Hook.) Greene is a North American plant species belonging to the sunflower family. Its common name is fineleaf fournerved daisy. This species grows in the south-central United States, specifically in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico, as well as in northern Mexico, in the states of Coahuila, Nuevo León, and Tamaulipas. Tetraneuris linearifolia is an annual herb that grows up to 50 cm (20 inches) tall. It forms a branching underground caudex, which can sometimes produce as many as 10 above-ground stems. A single plant can produce up to 80 flower heads. Each flower head holds 9–25 yellow ray flowers, which surround 50–200 yellow disc flowers.
