About Tetraneuris ivesiana Greene

Tetraneuris ivesiana, commonly called Ives' fournerved daisy, is a North American flowering species belonging to the sunflower family. It grows in the southwestern United States, specifically in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, and Colorado. This species is a perennial herb that reaches a maximum height of 26 cm (10 inches). It grows a branching underground caudex, which can sometimes produce up to 30 above-ground stems. A single plant can produce up to 30 flower heads. Each flower head holds 7 to 10 yellow ray flowers, with 40 to 150 yellow disc flowers arranged in the center.
