About Tetracis cachexiata Guenée

Tetracis cachexiata, commonly called the white slant-line or white slaut, is a moth species that belongs to the Geometridae family. This species was first formally described by Achille Guenée in 1858. It is distributed across North America, ranging from Nova Scotia to central British Columbia, extending south to northern Florida, and west to Montana and northern Colorado. The forewings of adults measure 19 to 26 mm in length. Mature adults are active in flight from May through early July. The larvae of this species feed on a range of plants, including species from the genera Alnus, Betula, Prunus, Salix, Tilia, Ulmus, Viburnum, Abies, Larix, Pinus, and Tsuga.
