About Telamonia dimidiata (Simon, 1899)

This jumping spider species has the scientific name Telamonia dimidiata (Simon, 1899). Females of this species reach a body length of 9–11 mm (0.35–0.43 in), while males reach 8–9 mm (0.31–0.35 in). Female T. dimidiata are light yellowish, with a distinctly white cephalus and red rings that surround the narrow black rings around their eyes. Two longitudinal bright red stripes are present on the female opisthosoma. Males of this species are very dark, with white markings and red hairs around their eyes. This species can be found in Singapore, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran, India, and Bhutan. T. dimidiata does not produce toxin that is significant to humans.
