About Taraxacum albidum Dahlst.

Taraxacum albidum Dahlst. is a species of dandelion in the Asteraceae family. It is a perennial herbaceous plant native to southern Japan, and grows across eastern Eurasia. It is sometimes confused with Taraxacum coreanum; T. coreanum is primarily native to the Korean Peninsula and parts of China. A 1996-1997 molecular phylogenetic analysis of polyploid complex of East Asian Taraxacum by Tatsuyoshi Morita identified Taraxacum albidum as a hybrid between T. coreanum and Taraxacum japonicum.
