About Syzygium nervosum DC.

Syzygium nervosum DC., commonly referred to as S. nervosum, has elliptical, obovate glabrous leaves that grow 7–9 cm long. Its flowers grow in clusters arranged as greenish-white trichomatous panicles, and each blossom has 4 petals. Fruits of this species are ovoid, 7–12 mm in diameter, with a concave tip and wrinkled texture. They turn purplish when they ripen. In Vietnam, the leaves and buds of S. nervosum are harvested, dried, and brewed to make an herbal tea called "nước vối", which has stomachic properties.
