Syzygium francisii (F.M.Bailey) L.A.S.Johnson is a medium to large-sized tree. It occasionally grows over 30 metres tall, with a trunk that can reach 150 cm in diameter. The tree's crown is dark and dense in appearance. Its bark is scaly, light reddish-brown, and has depressions left after bark scales shed. Prominent buttresses develop at the base of the trunk.
