Syringodium filiforme Kütz., commonly called manatee grass, is a species of marine seagrass. This species forms meadows in shallow sandy or muddy areas in the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. It can also be found in the Bahamas and Bermuda. It typically grows up to a depth of around 20 meters (66 feet), and it can grow even deeper in locations with very clear water.
