Syngrapha octoscripta, commonly known as the figure-eight looper moth or the dusky silver Y, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1874. It is distributed across North America, ranging coast to coast across most of Canada; in the eastern part of its range, it extends south to northern Pennsylvania, Ohio, and the Great Lakes states. The wingspan of adult Syngrapha octoscripta measures 34–36 mm. Adults are active on the wing from July to August, with the timing varying based on location. This species produces one generation per year. The larvae of Syngrapha octoscripta feed on plants from the genus Vaccinium.
