About Sympistis dentata Grote, 1875
Sympistis dentata, commonly known as the toothed apharetra moth, is a moth species in the family Noctuidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1875. This species is distributed across Yukon, the Northwest Territories, and British Columbia in Canada, extending east to Newfoundland and into the northern United States. In the eastern part of its range, it occurs as far south as New Jersey. It is classified as a threatened species in the U.S. state of Connecticut.
