About Stylidium ecorne (R.O.Erickson & J.H.Willis) Farrell & S.H.James

Stylidium ecorne is a dicotyledonous plant classified in the genus Stylidium, part of the family Stylidiaceae. This species is an annual plant that grows to a height of 5 to 12 cm, and produces pale or bright pink flowers. It naturally grows in swampy areas. Stylidium ecorne has a distribution range that is just as wide as that of Stylidium calcaratum, but occurs less frequently because it has restricted ecological habitat requirements. Its range extends from north of Geraldton, Western Australia, south to Mount Chudalup, and east through South Australia into western Victoria. There are also outlying populations located near Gembrook and Violet Town.
