About Strobilurus trullisatus (Murrill) Lennox
This species, Strobilurus trullisatus (Murrill) Lennox, produces fruiting bodies that grow in clusters on Douglas-fir cones. Its cap is thin and white, measuring 4–17 mm (0.16–0.67 in) across. The gills are adnate to adnexed, closely spaced, and colored white to pinkish-tan. The stipe is 15–45 mm (0.59–1.77 in) long, with a diameter of 1–2 mm (0.039–0.079 in), and it leaves a white spore print.
