Streptocarpus saxorum Engl., commonly known as the false African violet, is a flowering plant species belonging to the genus Streptocarpus, subgenus Streptocarpella. It is native to Kenya and Tanzania. This evergreen perennial often produces flowers nearly year-round. Its compact cultivar has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit for use as a houseplant.
