Stipagrostis ciliata, commonly called tall bushman grass, is a grass species belonging to the family Poaceae. Its native range extends from the Canary Islands, through the Sahara desert, to Pakistan. It grows in the Namib Desert of Namibia and in the Kalahari. This grass reaches a height of 30 to 100 centimetres (12 to 39 inches). It may be either an annual or a perennial plant, depending on the amount of rainfall it receives. A defining distinguishing feature of this species is a ring of long white hairs that surrounds each of its nodes.
