The diademed tanager, with the scientific name Stephanophorus diadematus, is a Neotropical bird species that belongs to the tanager family Thraupidae. This species is the only member of the genus Stephanophorus. Its plumage is primarily purple-blue, and it has a white crown marked by a small red patch. It occurs mainly in open habitats across southern Brazil, northeast Argentina, and Uruguay.
