Stator limbatus is a leaf beetle species that belongs to the Chrysomelidae family. Its native range covers the southwestern United States, Mexico, and northern South America, and it naturally inhabits xeric, semi-arid, and dry tropical environments. This species has since spread well beyond its original native range, with established populations now found in Hawaii, South Africa, the Middle East, and as of 2021, Sardinia and Corsica. S. limbatus feeds on a wide variety of legumes.
