Stachys annua (L.) L., commonly known as annual yellow woundwort, is a widespread flowering plant species belonging to the hedgenettle genus Stachys. It is native to Europe, the Middle East, and western Siberia. It has been introduced to Cyprus, eastern North America, and Amur Oblast and Primorsky Krai in far eastern Russia. It commonly grows in fields, road verges, and waste places.
